F series knob bypass

https://youtu.be/9PW4tOxhJHo
Recently saw a video where this bypass was tried. The person's attempts were unsuccessful. So, this brings me to my question. Is there such a bypass that works? Perhaps the flaw in the lock has been fixed and will only work on some knobs? Or maybe there is some secret preparation that has to be performed off camera?
