Re: "The Ultimate Lock"

so your trying to make the ultimate lick right... but you wont fix the drilling problem so that emergency persons can get in and you are ignoring the cylinder problems because you are assuming people are home during the break in... well ether way this is not ultimate and the only thing you are willing to admit is it needs a chain latch type device, which is a good idea, but it dose'nt say the other problems are not worth looking into.

if you were wanting an ultimate lock no one could get in. and as it has been said before if it can be opened with a key it can be opened without a key.
your deadlock feature may work but so does my night latch.

the only special thing your locks has is that it is touch to kick in... you solved one problem and claim it to be ultimate, yet you did not even incorperate solutions to other problems that have been provided for you.

there is no need to reinvent the wheel, if you want a tougher cylinder ask another company to be inside your lock

the ultimate padlocks use medeco cylinders granted they could have put a better cylinder in there but they kept it local. (I'm talking about S&G)

and I dont think it can be called bump/pick proof if it can be bumped/picked at all...

my front door has a nice deadlatch at the top does that make it pick proof... if you pick my door you still wont get in... hell you could pick all 3 locks on my door and not get in... does that make it pick proof... no you can pick it... you just dont get if you do in.

I don't mean to seem like I'm butting in being that I'm relatively new to this particular forum but I have been around as some of you know and I did read all this thread. just my 2 cents. $180 for nothing more than a schlage and a deadlatch with nice screws.

Re: "The Ultimate Lock"

The Ultimate Lock seems like it would be great for drug-dealers so they have enough time flushing their drugs down the toilet or up their noses.

But then again I'd have a plumber open the pipe drains to retrieve the evidence, hahaha!

Wow, out of work on air personality. Nice.

Thank god Obama is legalizing Marijuana or I'd be lost.

Its my job to support and endorse the product to my best capabilities. The lock doesn't really suck. It looks good and does what it says it does.

protects those from being a victim to home invasion.

Actually, the officers have a 'silent' drill. Makes no noise...in case of warrants.

Other than that yes your right. Emergency personal have a direct way to get in.

So is it the officers who are picking the pickproof lock or is it the locksmiths that are doing it??? Also, when are the infomercials going to start up, need to know when to make my video public again???

Um... They might have a drill that is pretty quiet, but there is no way to make metal on metal contact "silent". Also, installed on a typical door or frame, your "Awesome Lock" will be no match for hydraulic entry tools (which law enforcement and fire departments actually use) --no "silent" drilling necessary.
I have a gift for you!

Don't you have anything better to do? Why don't you get started on those improvements to that lock. Also I must say, I don't know what the situation is on KokomoLocks video, and no offense to him, but you asking to make that video private and him doing so really stumps me. What? You don't want anybody to see the vulnerabilities to the lock, so that you can keep selling it to unsuspecting consumers, I vote we make the video public. And that you quit trying to find ways around answering our questions. Look, the lock is a failure, go back to the drawing board. Why are we still talking about this lock. It is nothing.

Re: "The Ultimate Lock"

Why would you even ask that... Thats just obnoxious, of course it isnt the same but ether way it can be defeated. If you know the problems just go head and fix them... If drilling is the way in that is how the criminals will get in... assuming they wouldnt just use the back door or sliding glass door lol

But it seems like you are trying to defend a flawed lock by saying "oh criminals wont expose these flaws"

Simple problems simple fix... If you just fix the problems we couldnt complain about drilling. You say you knew about it and left it alone, that defeats the purpose of security if you leave a back door to every lock out there. criminals arent as stupid as you seem to think. they will figure it out very fast.

Im not sayin kokomoLocks achievment was any less spectacular but as was stated before if they want in bad enough they will just get a lock look at it and see how it works, make a video of them opening it, and put it on youtue for all their criminal friends...

It doesnt take a degree in mechanical physics to understand how locks work.

check out your the people you are trying to sell the lock to. My mom wont buy one because she cannot afford a $180 lock and has nothing to protect. The people that have the money and things to protect are going to be robbed by the people that put the time into a quick google search...

You cannot creat a lock with a known weakness and call it ultimate... then admit your weakness and say its still bad@ss... heay I cant kick through it but I can go through a window or the back door or knock and kick the guy behind the door.

It doesn't do all you say it does, and it isn't constructed the way you claim either. You shouldn't be hanging around here talking this ignorant shit, unless you want more public video demonstrations of this garden variety lock not living up to your bold representation of it's quality.

By the way, where are those investors test results that are supposed to exist?

I made the video private before Smiley asked me to. The reason is I show how and where to drill to bypass the deadlock button, which is easy to figure out, but I am unsure if I want that on YouTube for the world to see. I think though, after reading Smileys challenge again, that I should make it public. This is typical marketing BS. The owner of Ultimate Lock told me that the pop a lock video is over 2 hours long and 2 or 3 of the pop a lock guys actually picked the lock and 1 guy bumped it. They know it is not pick or bump proof, they don't care. How many people are actually going to pick the lock, drill it, then use a flip it to bypass the lock??? Now, that does not condone them straight up lying like they are doing. I don't know what the anwser is, Smiley knows nothing, he is a Sales/PR guy, that needs to be put on a shorter leash. Ultimate Lock has Montel on their side, maybe I should email the video to Oprah :) . She will know what to do.

Re: "The Ultimate Lock"

Smiley is just a hip hop radio promotions twink, er ah, I mean assistant. Here's his Linked In profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/alexmaddox

He's worked as a volunteer for Pacifica radio, which is where the commies, liberals, ex-cons, give-peace-a-chanceniks and and alternate lifestyle queers congregate on the low end of the FM dial. http://www.pacifica.org/program-guide/

Notice he's been pitching this lock since July '09 as a "Global Marketing/Sales Manager".

Just consider him a troll and ignore the shit he spews. He's the type of guy that never shuts up and feels he must have the last word via a smart ass condescending put down.

If you guys are tired of him - we can ban him. Or we can keep him around for our amusement - you know, like poking him with a stick just to piss him off and get his panties in a wad.

Up to you guys. Your call.
