So what's the deal with this lock? Pop-a-lock don't impress me much, I bet a regular locksmith with some experience could get these somehow. Anyone??

Those are the top 1% of pickers? They didn't seem to grasp proper terminology, let alone picking skills... what I did see was sloppy at best. I'm not the best at SPP myelf, but come on.
I wanna see technical diagrams of this lock. I didn't see or hear one single bit of information on how it prevents picking... as a matter of fact, I didn't even see a demonstration that the locks were even functional with the correct key. For all we know the damn things were all rigged.
I think we should email these guys and request to do an independant test of this lock to see how pick proof it really is. Reckon they'd hand out a freebie or two? I doubt we'd even get a reply.

I don't get it. I mean if the lock is so hard to pick, aswell as strong, why is this feature even necessary? It effectively turns your house into a panic room - except that it has shitloads of windows of course. It's laughable.

If you took the top 1% of say 20 locksmiths, who all had 15 or more years of experience, I am going to say that they wouldn't have had any problem getting through these locks.
ToolyMcgee wrote:The pop-a-lock in the black shirt says, "I installed one of these, and I told the guy if your wife puts you out the door, even if you have the key you ain't gettin' in. So be nice." So how do you pick a lock that won't open with the key. Snap gun?

KokomoLock wrote:Not only is it pickable, but fairly easy to pick. 6 pin SC4 key, only 3 security drivers, no security key pins. Even came with 2 stickers to scare away the bad guys.
As you can see hopefully the spool pins are really, really shallow and don't make it that much harder to pick. Next step is to pick it on video and post on youtube and send a link to Pop-A-Lock and Ultimate Lock and see what they say.
