Ditto. Ordered 1 Peacemaker, 1 iChange, and 1 Military. Did not see any comment field within PayPal, but put comments in the comment field in the shopping cart, and sent a follow-up email with the order number.

Mr. Patrick Smith,

Thank you for having Commando Lock Company become a sponsor here at Keypicking.com!!! We apreciate it very much!

Gordon

P.S. quick review of Military model I bought previously, it was tougher to pick than the Peacemaker you sent. The second bitting position was very shallow, probably a 1 cut if you start at a 0 cut as no cutting on a blank key. This pin had to be manually lifted with a pick a bit before ANY tension was applied, no matter how light, or it would be bound as solidly as a key pin on a rotated plug. I suspect one of two things: Either the pin and driver were both short, fitting both inside the plug below the shear line, or the shallow key pin, combined with a spool AND a first position in the binding order, causes the second pin stack to be bound immediately when turning pressure is applied. Have some doubts about the second possibility, as there is absolutely no tension wrench return when the second pin stack is lifted when bound. This also may be an intentional security feature of the lock, because the key works fine, unless the plug was not turned back a bit after binding when picking. Then you only need to use the key to turn it back, then the key works fine. Maybe I will have to disect my first Commando when my order #1026 placed today (Thanksgiving Day here in the US). Then I can find out what the scoop is. :-)

I looked at they website, I would have ordered a few with MBI's recommendation and the free lock offer, but I did not see prices or find out how to order, with comments on keypickng.

what I would really like for free with my locks though would be keyblanks, although the photos identify one of them as an M1, I have had the master balldog US padlocks and these look a lot like those, does the military version have ball dogs? and what keyway is that one. Masters military has something like a M27 keyway but thinner. so it is difficult to impression because you have to shave the keyblanks.

The prices are all listed when I look. They have different KA/KD options etc that you can choose from in a drop down menu on each locks page.

When you click on the CLC banner, go to the bottom of the page and click on the type of lock you want under the "Featured Collections" pictures. That will take you to a page with specifications and the different models within that type of padlock. Click on those pictures and it will take you to a page where you select how many you want from a drop down menu and click add to cart. Then you can proceed to checkout from your cart.

If you order form them when the website has been opened from clicking on the banner on KP it will tell him that you ordered from us.

IIRC somebody said that it was an obverse master keyway.

The key blanks are M10 blanks, same as is used on the Master #15 lock. 5 pin lock.

Already received an email response from Mr. Smith saying that since I used the ad above to go to their site, he already knew I had ordered from KP, and would be adding the extra locks as stated.

The one I ordered (I only ordered one lock - Christmas and two birthdays in December has taken it's toll, lol) was pretty heavily discounted, so even if I don't get a free one for whatever reason - I still feel like I'm getting a pretty good deal. If there are two locks in my package, one of them will go to a friend at work that I'm teaching to pick locks (he's picking it up very fast).

Anyway - I just wanted to say that it's pretty sweet that they even offered the members here a free lock, I will definitely be recommending Commando Lock Company. From everything I've been reading, they really seem like a company I could get behind.

I don't think it tells you what the shipping is until you enter your card info, address, and all that. You can still back out of the order at that point.

Mine shipped USPS Priority mail, at whatever the rate for that is - it's was $5-something... International - I'm not sure. I know that if it's under 4lbs it'll be cheaper though, internationally.

USPS flat rate prices: in US $
Small to Canada and Mexico: 4 lb limit: $12.95
Overseas: 4 lb limit: $16.95

Medium Box: 20 lb limit:
Canad and Mexico: $32.95
Overseas: $47.95

They charge a bit for packing materials and to take it down to the post office I think.

Just checked it out... Make your order, check out with PayPal. Choose payment method, then click on "return to Commando Lock". YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED, AND CAN STILL CANCEL. Paypal tells Commando your mailing address, and Commando Lock automatically calculates shipping charges. It then tells you the full cost, including shipping. At that time, you can either finalize the payment, or down near the bottom (not hidden or hard to find), you can click on "Continue", or "Cancel order and continue shopping."

You then know shipping and cost of your locks.

Should not be a problem. I have 8 Commando locks, 6 from this shipment, one from Patrick Smith (Thanks again, Mr. Smith), and another purchased military version. Never had a problem with billing or shipping.
