Here is a used Simplex 7100 that I put on a diet, enjoy. (sorry for the not so great cellphone photos)

Then they adjusted for the screen size.
I find these locks fascinating.
I have seen a video where a magnet is used to bypass the lock. On a different model.
Always wanted to try it.

I used a 4 flute Endmill, at about 100 - 150rpm and it cut like butter

if i remember correctly that a magnet pry's apart the black bar, bypassing all the gates.

i two have always wanted to try it, i have a bank that puts these locks everywhere, and i have to wait several minutes at each door for a teller to let me in. If i would ever have a magnet strong enough to do this, i would probably get in trouble, but i was be able to get twice as much work done.

I had 3 of these (and have installed close to 100 of them) some of the older ones you could bypass... if you drilled a hole in the side of the unit and used a magnet on a stick or something. (you don't see it in the pictures but there is a thin cover that sits between the Black bar and the Lock Housing but with it in place you cant see the internals

) I have a newer 7104 sitting next to me right now and a magnet will not stick to that black bar even if I put the magnet on the bar..

and I am sure if you could bypass one... and you did it at a bank you might not be working there for long after. :geek:
