First Attempt....

Was given some lower quality Chinese KIK cylinders recently and decided to have a go at making them in to some training locks.... 1 Spools, 1 Serrated and then a mix just for fun. Also tried machining from the rear of the lock, hoping it would make the thing hold together better and not pinch in a vice... didn't work out too well, you can't see the shear line on chamber 1!

That's quite good for a first attempt. What sort of mill do you use?

I would like a Medeco (Original or Biaxial) cutaway so if you will be taking orders let me know.

Well, ill be making a few fixture plates in the future for Medecos, 5200s and maybe some more interesting things... But thats still 2-3 months away, Ill keep ya posted!

Its a Bridgeport Clone, CNC'd & driven by Mach3. Im using Aspire as my CAM processor right now, just till i get my head around MaterCAM... then the real fun starts!!!

Thanks for the votes of confidence guys :)

Nice work! We have several Bridgeports here at work along with all kinds of big CNC machinery. It's fun to look at!

awesome work for a first time. How I wish to have a mill machine :(, oh and put me on that list for a medeco cut away. I have a few of them laying around and would LOVE a cutaway.
