Keypicking SSL

For those of you who don't know, Keypicking supports SSL/TLS. What does this mean to the lay ear? It means instead of the communications between your web browser and Keypicking's server flying back and forth in an unencrypted plaintext state, they are instead encrypted and (much more) protected from 3rd party eavesdropping.

Using SSL is not mandatory to enjoy the site. It is there as an option if you feel safer using it.

To browse using SSL, use the following URL:

https://ssl.keypicking.com

Note: On browsers such as Chrome, YouTube embedding will not load as it is considered unsecured content in a secure zone. You will need to manually tell your browser to load the videos by clicking on the shield icon in the address bar and selecting "Load Anyway". Firefox and IE may warn you as well.

Don't really know, Jeff. But it does wash its hands after using the restroom.

What does it all mean?

Entered "ssl.keypicking.com" into https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ and it gave a "B" rating. What does it all mean? What is the difference between SHA1 and SHA2?

Gets complicated pretty fast. Simply put the certificate that verifies keypicking.com as being who they say they are by StartCom is using an older hash to ensure that the certificate itself has not been tampered with. It is not a big deal as there are weaker links in the security chain. It only pertains to authentication, not directly confidentiality.
