Antique keys I found

Image

Image

I found these keys from an antigue fair, here in Finland.
These keys were from a large house with lots of expencive stuff dating from 1800 to 1930.
I guess the 3 flat keys go to a safedeposit box or a small cash box.
But the 4th. key interests me most. Its shaped like Abloy Profile, and has stampings on it.
"J.H.W.CLIMAX. NEWARK N.J.U.S.A." and on the bow "PAT(2?) MAY 26.85"
I tried to search for it, but found no keys/locks like it. The date refers to ýear 1885.

There are some stampings on the flat keys too:
"G97670" -a key code
"85" - keycode/lockmodel...?
"Boda"-lock brand

Any info on these?

Climax made rim locks for a while. Here is a listing from eBay for a couple blanks.

Well, that was quick. Thanks.
It sure looks like a modern version of the same key.

The one with 85 looks very unique and interesting Wizer :)
Was it maybe a push lock? But what does the square hole do? :?:

Re: Antique keys I found

Not to hijack your thread wizer but I also found some old keys in my grandfathers house after he died years ago. If anyone knows anything about these I'd be curious to hear about it. They look really old, some have pretty strange bittings. For some reason I held onto them so here they are:

Re: Antique keys I found

First one is a Chicago double sided wafer key - used on some cabinet locks, padlocks, and elevator locks
Second one is a Curtis blank for an Eagle lock, probably a padlock
Third one is a Yale, looks like the standard Y1 keyway
