Lockman's Railroad Keys

Hey guys, Here's a closer look at the RR keys I have, These are Not my brass switch keys.

Here's a rundown of what's what.

TOP Row:
1) D456- N&W(S) Signal & Communications.
2) E-507 CSX Switches
3) This is a copy of the E-708 key. Again used by Conrail. American H-10 Rear Marked C&S
4) Yale key used by NKP Mechanical Dept.
5) NKP CL key, Used in Corbin Padlocks. Not sure what the CL stands for though. (Central Line)??
6) One of the Erie Keys I was talking about.
7) Same thing as 6, Was included on the Ring of keys ALSO a WB key, Didn't include that in the pic.

Bottom Row:
1)This key is for the Slaymayker N&W Signal Padlocks. Takes a Corbin Keyway.
2) N&W Signal Corbin Locks
3) N&W Tubular key for the T-900 American Padlocks.
4) American Lock MW Maintenance Of Way
5) My 101 key used by N&W(S) Switches
6) Nickelplate RR Yale Key. Marked 26104. If you see any yale keys that are maked 26104 that's what they are for. Not the standard Y1 Keyway.

Re: Lockman's Railroad Keys

How does one get all of these railroad keys?!
femurat: They're called restricted for a reason...
Innerpicked: The more keys you carry, the more important you look
GWiens2001: Great video! Learned a lot about what fun can be had with a forklift and a chainsaw.
pmaxey83: but i first have to submit the proper forms for a new hobby to my wife

Re: Lockman's Railroad Keys

Most of them I got from Antique Dealers/Fleamarkets and one off Ebay. The biggest thing is KNOWING WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR... Which is why I shared these with you guys out there. I've been collecting keys since I was about 4 years old. Now of course I don't have half the ones I had as a kid.. But never the less I have quite a collection now. I seem to have inquired a good eye for keys and locks both. You can take a key, show it to me, Throw it in a pile with a thousand other keys and 10-1 I'll find it on the first shot. Photographic memory is nice! But I will get keys at verious places and be looking for specific ones. It also helps to know a few buddies in the Rail system too. That's what I love about antique dealers, Most of the time they don't even know half of what they got when it comes to the key end of things, Though some I have came across were pretty skilled too.
