Re: COOL KEYS

First key is for a magnetic lock, 3rd is most likely a safety deposit or similar (or very fancy old hotel), I've seen that style of that middle key on auto anti-theft (the 4 way key) but that one seems too complex for something that mundane.

Re: COOL KEYS

The second key is for a Bricard SuperSurete and the third is for the Winfield lock, a dual key wafer cylinder. Some info/pictures:

Re: COOL KEYS

1724 looks like an old locker key like you would find in a train station or airport before 9/11.

Re: COOL KEYS

From what I read in the patent information, it looks that there are three cuts, but I did not know what the depths are. Think I see two mid depth cuts on your key in the first picture as well. I could well be wrong.

If you look at the entry for this lock in Pulford's book and look at the keys, I think they show three cuts as well. Maybe that particular key code only uses the two cuts. Also, the keys are cut on both sides, with the opposite side not being a mirror image, but a reverse image. Deep cut on top = shallow cut on bottom, mid depth cut on top = mid depth cut on bottom, shallow cut on top = deep cut on bottom.

Re: COOL KEYS

I will dig the key out and take some measurements gordon L@@king at the key again i can see your point ! on the cuts

i can confirm the key is double sided with different cuts that do not mirror one another...shoulder side is reversed on plain side of keys blade.
