Smartkey Decoder keys

During this talk at Defcon 21, Marc Webber Tobias Briefly Shows a set of Kwikset Smartkey Decoder keys.
Start the video at Time mark 42:00 and view to 44:30 to see what I'm talking about.
I have played around a little bit in trying to make my own set of decoders.
Seem to be having trouble. I have depth and spacing info, but what I'm lacking is the Height of the "exit ramp" or the distance from the valley of the cut to the top of the blade. If that makes sense?. Has anyone made their own set?

I have made a #6 key, #5, and a #4.
Both 6 and 5 work fairly well.
My #4 key will pull out on a cut above or below.
The tip of the key seems to be the (Go or NO GO gauge).
The Height of the tip has to due with the tolerances of the side bar gate.
Not wanting to ruin a ton of blanks trying to find this secret dimension, thought I would ask.
Also Have not heard of anyone using these keys. Wonder why?, If they work?.

Re: Smartkey Decoder keys

I've tried it, and didn't like it. It seems like it depends a lot on the condition of the pins. The key slips out easily if the pins have too much wear on it.
