"Bug-Out-Bags" who has picks and keys in theirs?

"Bug-Out-Bags" or Backpack full of necessary survival items when the Chit Hits The Fan...

I have the usual guns & ammo, basic first aid, food stocks (mostly dehydrated) and ....

Lock picking set and destructive entry tools
and a set of keys to alot of "special places" that a pick could open but having the key is quicker and safer in a "Bug-Out" situation.

Anyone have a set of "Special Keys" in their bug out bags too?

Or is it just that my tin-foil is too tight...LOL

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...

Hmm... I do have a BoB, but there are no lock related items in it. I typically have at least two sets of picks on me at all times though. I have an emergency set in my wallet, and another set in an HPC pocket case that I stick in my pocket whenever I leave the house.

I'm not sure that I understand what these are. Are they sets of try-out keys or jigglers?

no they are actual keys that always work... like the railroad keys... a 102 key always opens a 102 lock... I have a few thers... like the masterkey for a local grocery store chain (chould come in handy in a Armageddon) and a few other keys that are designed for a specific lock that is used in many places.

Yeah, I was curious about those too. Interesting. Thanks for the explanation.

Here in Germany we don't fear Armageddon, Zombies or whatever because we are so tough that everyone would run away anyway...
So we do not have things like BoB's but we have basements full of food or at least the old people have. You could probably survive a war with that and you guys gone run out on food out of plastic bags one day :D

Do they actually have keys?

Maybe for the doors, but on most aircraft - you just have to know how to hook up the batteries, and which buttons to press once you're inside. Sometimes (mostly private aircraft), all exterior doors will have a lock on them (medeco is common for that).

Water key might be good to have if you are in an area where most of the water flows through pipes. Might save someone the trouble of picking a door lock to get a jug of water.

I likely have one of those keys too ha-ha, Mines based on a yale 5 pin and is "used in many places" good for hunting and getting away from the masses of people/zombies LOL, and then there is the knox keys... (benefits of being on the V.F.D. and S&R) just made backup copies for the B.O.B.

yes balckhawks have keys... they dont necissarily start the blackhawk... but they will not run without the key. the warrent officer carries the key and you must be an O6 or higher to have a key made... and there is a log of every key that is made (name rank ssn time date) since they are all the same key...
