I assume you are referring to the Hy-Ko machine? The hardware store has one, it's pretty nice and easy to use.

lumpy, 1/3 or less of retail is my rule of thumb.you pay what you think it is worth to you. hy-ko is a good machine. take a surf on craigslist nation- wide and you'll see a vast range in prices. i've seen curtis 2000k machines listed for $500 with few or no blanks and the machine is 30-40 years old. so just pay what you can afford.
