I need some blanks for a Wilson Bohannon padlock so I can try to impression a working key. I have tried Ilco W1 1071s,1071As,and 1071Bs and they all seem to large. What would a experienced member here need to know from me to recommend the correct blank? Thanks.
Re: Blanks
A picture of the keyway helps! There are several keyways for WB.

Re: Blanks
Don't mean to be a bother, but a straight on shot of the keyway, instead of an agle, is best. Trying to see which of the blanks in the catalog matches. There are eleven blanks with six different keyways in the Silca catalog. Also, if you run the flat side of a diamond pick, or use a pin, can you count the clicks and tell how many pins there are?
Thank you,
Gordon

Re: Blanks
Could be a 1071BD .. If it is not the other options .. But hard to tell with out a Lock ID # or a better pic
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...
Re: Blanks
Correction - no further pictures needed. The reverse keyway is WB19. At least that is the only reverse keyway in the Silca catalog.

Thanks Gordon. I hate it that I'm so ignorant, but WB19 the key blank I need and is it an Ilco?
Re: Blanks
Dennis,
I'm not that far ahead of you when it comes to ignorance, so don't feel bad.
The number is a Silca number. Just checked the cross reference in the back of the Silca catalog. The ILCO number is exactly the same.

Thanks Gordon. It seems you have to register to access that information, which I did,but the confirmation didn't go to my email. But I'll try again!
Re: Blanks
I have a hard copy of the Silca catalog. It is updated every four years, and the most recent catalog is the 2012.

Ok I finally got the catalog downloaded. There seems to only be 1 reference to WB keys, and that being WH1. So either I don't know where to look in the cat.,or it isn't there.I've tried searching Wilson Bohannan WB19 with no success.
Re: Blanks
In the Silca catalog, it is under the North American Cylinder section. Section 2, page 70. Wilson-Bohannon.

Is that in the Catalogue 108?

Glad I am not the only one that had issues finding this key blank ..

Re: Blanks
I'm looking right at it in the Ilco PDF catalog from their website...
http://www.kaba-ilco.com/key-systems/Li ... ences.html
Click on North American Cylinder (section 2)
Silca is actually owned by Ilco, but I use the Ilco book 99 percent of the time whenever I need to find a blank.

Innerpicked: The more keys you carry, the more important you look
GWiens2001: Great video! Learned a lot about what fun can be had with a forklift and a chainsaw.
pmaxey83: but i first have to submit the proper forms for a new hobby to my wife
