Key for the Lockwood V7

Just wanted everyone to know that If you got a V7 from Rodmdx and are wanting keys a KW1 will fit if you file a bit of brass away.

Re: Key for the Lockwood V7

I also received mine from Rod, as promised. Shipping from Australia is a bit steep, but I think it's very worth it in this case.
I wonder if this will still work if any of the pin stacks have a very shallow bitting. Does the blank come close to the top of the keyway?

Excellent information, thank you!
That gives me some new work to do.

It does but because the V part at the top of the keyway is pretty small you have a good bit of room for very high and deep cuts.

I have a few more blanks so I am going to try and file them away on one side so you have an edge that would go into maybe the left side of the V but not the right side!

I can't find anything on the blank but I think (could be wrong) Rodmdx said that they are no longer making keys for the V7.

Re: Key for the Lockwood V7

Blanks are made, but not sold at all to anyone outside the lockwood dealers network.

While no new V7 systems are installed old systems are still supported by the locksmiths and the factory.
