Cutting Abloy Classic keys
There is 10 positions for cuts. 6 different cut depths. Cut number 0 is un cut, and number 5 is full 90 degrees. So that makes 18 degree difference on each cut number.
The first cut is 3 mm. from the tip of key, each cut is 2 mm. wide alltho the discs are only 1,4 mm. So you have a tolerance of about 0,3 mm. on each side.
Abloy Profiles use the exactly same space/depth chart as Classic with the exeption of the Profiles using 14 discs and narrower cuts. (US. government keyway for example)
I cut Abloys allways to the code. Only had to use a copying machine a few times. -With those narrow-disced-Profiles. I use the GT40-B shown on the video mostly for other rotating disc tumbler keys, and Avas.
It takes on average 35 seconds to cut a key with either of my code cutters. Or 100 keys per hour, and you have time for a quick smoke too.
I made some videos about my machines. I had to take several shots, and don´t have the patience to edit them all together, so you get 3 videos.
