Master keying software /web app or Apple app

Hi all, I am looking for basic master key software as trial or free it can be an app windows software or a simple excel sheet, I did see one on the forum here that is a 64 page master key but it does not give the pin stacks etc does anyone have a file they created or know of an excel file or program I could use?

Check out mkcalc.com - it's free, fairly basic but good.
Long time no see!

Re: Master keying software /web app or Apple app

I created an Excel spreadsheet to specifically generate 6 pin Schlage keys for a project of mine. I key in the MK and GMK if needed. It identifies keys that do not meet the MACS. I also have it set up to identify ghost cuts in a matrix for calculating cross keying. And it can take all the change key cuts and generate a random sort. I am working on redoing the spreadsheet to make it more generic.

Re: Master keying software /web app or Apple app

Here is the link to the spreadsheet. Remember, it isnt perfect. Hard to do things like this in Excel. The spreadsheet has lots of hidden columns and some macros. You will see a button to click to recalc the sorted bittings and also randomized bittings.

I set this up for Schlage 6 pins originally. I changed some things to allow some variables to be changed like MACS, smallest and largest pin, step between pins in a chamber.... also determines the parity. The sheets are not protected. The yellow shaded areas are the areas where data needs to be input. Do not override any fields that are not yellow.

You will have to define print areas when you want to print the listings.

I am sure I have some errors. If anyone discovers one, or more, let me know. This is a project in process.

Re: Master keying software /web app or Apple app

A friendly word of advice: make sure you have an understanding of master keying, especially with regards to cross keying and incidental master keys, if you're using master keying software. It will help you catch any errors (they exist in in some commercial software!) and avoid making any errors yourself.
