I'm embarrassed to even ask this question. A few of my scrap bucket KW-1 keys have the Black & Decker logo on them. What have I missed ? Did B&D make door locks ? Or were the keys used for a B&D tool, toolbox ?

Re: KW-1 key question
Google search found some info i was slightly familiar with: Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is the conglomerate... they also own stanley security solutions and Best and probably some other security/lock companies.
post a pic!
It is interesting to note that several of my DOM locks from germany are marked B&D on the box ... older stuff tho

I now understand. This occurred in 1989, around the same time I was snapping out of my many years of alcohol consumption.
