Lock Pick Design Manual

Lock Pick Design Manual describes a concept where you calculate the desired pick profile.

A manual for creating king and queen picks.

Note this not a copyrighted book. It was written for the US government and Paladin Press printed it.

I received an email from Paladin Press confirming this explaining that this written for the government and as such can not be copyrighted

Re: Lock Pick Design Manual

abroxis, a while back, there used to be a great post on here by you, with a long list of lockpicking links. What happened to it?

Missing links

Deadlock , I suspect that it may have been an issue of copyright violation and/or someone simply did not want the material reposted.

Thanks abroxis.

Here's a page that's got some links that are so old they don't work anymore, so hopefully nobody'll mind if I post it: http://piksite.i8.com/resources.htm

Very interesting manual, thanks! I've downloaded it and I'm planning to read it carefully when I have time.

Cheers :)

It's possible, but I don't remember having to take down anything you've posted.

We do need to respect copyrights on the forum to keep from being sued, but if it was posted a long time ago it's more likely that the original post was lost when the first owner of this forum vandalized the site upon his leaving. After he turned over the site to HC, the original owner tried to rip off forum members by running a Ponzi scheme here on the site. When HC and elbow shut down his scam, he threw a tantrum and deleted a massive quantity of the older posts and images from the site. Elbow was able to salvage much of it and keep the forum alive. Luckily much of what was lost was fluff but a small amount of the good content was lost.

Thanks for posting the link to the pdf and checking the status of the copyright.

Re: Lock Pick Design Manual

abroxis, I've probably mixed you up with somebody else. Sorry about that.

Wish I could remember more details, but obviously I can't. Have to say the search function on Keypicking is not as good as it is on the light side.

Re: Lock Pick Design Manual

Hi Deadlock,

Try using google for searching online forums, you'll find the results will be much improved.

For example, here's a search for aboxis' links - type the following:
site:keypicking.com abroxis links

or for the other site type:
site:lockpicking101.com abroxis links

note sure if this was what you were after but the following post with links came up:
Interesting links on lock stuff

Kind regards,
Sean

Re: Lock Pick Design Manual

Not the one I was thinking of, but this one is new to me, so that's good!

I've read about the Google trick before, but never seem to remember it when it comes to actually searching. I'll have to write it down and stick it on the wall or something - seriously!

Cheers.
