Medeco key copied?

I need a medeco key copied for an S&G 831, I can provide pictures and proof of ownership and all that stuff, I am just wondering if someone can do it, how much it will cost. I need the operator key, or two copied, wouldn't mind the control key as well, I know blanks can be a PITA to find but I'm sure one of you great people out there has a way. I'm in no rush just looking to see if it's worth it right now.

Thanks

Re: Medeco key copied?

There is no way to get blanks made up unless somebody has an easieentrie or a keywayking. Medeco does not let uncut keys out of their door due to the nature of what they are used for.

Cost would likely be quite prohibitive.

Man your breaking my ball here... I shoulda figured something like that. Keys probably cost more than the lock is worth from medeco, better off finding a core with multiple keys.

Re: Medeco key copied?

With a bit of file work you can make an 833 core fit. Gwiens2001 made a post on it but I cannot find it at the moment. Perhaps he can chime in later. And since they were being sold on ebay NIB there are a bunch floating around.

And a bit more ball breaking: You can't even get keys from Medeco :(

Good luck Wolfspring I tried to get a key made for my keymark cylinder. Had a card with serial# but because it was a US (Kentucky) licensee there was no way to do it, me being in Canada. I gave it to VancouverSpecial71 for some technical manuals and stuff, sucks but they are serious about their security. I wonder if he's picked it yet!
