making key for REESE US Padlock

Reese padlock stamped with code 855K. I need depths for the key. Requires ILCO 1140G blank which I can not find. I am using filed down CCL blank and tring to impression it.
Failed 4 times now and getting tired of having to make a key blank fit and then impression until it breaks, bends, or I reach way too deep into the blank for each cut. I make a lot of brass dust but no working key yet.
My LockCodes and Instacode does not have the 885 K info.
Can anyone help? I'm glad this is just a hobby...I would starve otherwise.
Thanks..
Steve

Re: making key for REESE US Padlock

those Reese blanks may be discontinued by Ilco. A couple suppliers show them in their catalog but none in stock.

Re: making key for REESE US Padlock

Thanks Newbie. I thought that was for 1 key and too much for me but 10 is great. I placed an order.

Good to hear from you again just1pick. Thanks so much for the s&d info. Now I will know what to aim for. I may still make a lot of brass dust but it should help a lot.
I ordered some blanks from the above ebay listing. Thank ou for the offer.

Always such nice folks on this site.
