Good advice...

...about taking the time to find a reputable locksmith now, when you don't need one. To be honest I ought to do this myself because, for all the picking I do, I wouldn't know how to get into my car if I locked myself out of it.

I would like to avoid anything like this.

Good thought, there is immense information on the net and forums on how to do it.

Re: Good advice...

Don't ever let some one pressure you into over paying stand your ground tell them you arn't stupid enough to fall for the old bate and switch . If they get mad and agressive you know it's a scam because a legitimate quoted price the guy would just leave and the company would take you to court.

Re: Good advice...

www.findalocksmith.com is a good place to start. That is ALOAs directory so most of them should be reputable.

Find your local locksmith shops if there are any and stop in and see them and ask them the rates.
