Help removing this Medeco tailpiece clip?

I just can't seem to figure this out. Any help?

Looks like you should be able to remove it after you take off the circlip, but hard to tell from the angles.

Pushes out the side. Get some small needle nose, looking at the back of the lock, squeeze the 2 little pieces at 9 oclock together and push to the right. That is why there is that notch at 3 oclock, the clip and tailpiece come out as one unit.

i reconize that. thats one of those restricted medecos from ebay. i was wondering how to gut it as well

Actually that looks like the Medeco Level 2 keyway. with the bell head shaped keys. :)

This is actually a different lot from that. :) But I have the same problem with those ones too.

This is the same design ad Yale rim cylinders from many years ago. They are especially fun when the last guy to work on it turns the plug 180degrees and then installs the clip. You need to remove it the same way, so you pick it if you don't have a key. A real thrill if you have a bunch to do.

I had that same problem with a few of the old locks I got recently. Patience and needlenose pliers/small flat head got the clip off.
Not fun!
