i have been getting a bunch of emails from the site saying i have new private messages... but i dont... they have been coming almost every hour...
so my question is, is anyone else experiencing this?
it didnt start until after i changed my name... maybe that has something to do with it...

Is it specifically private messages? Because if you have topic notifications on, you will get an email anytime someone replies to a thread that you posted in.

yes, it is only for pms... not topics...

haha i was wondering why i couldnt log in... but its cool... i just turned off the email updates....

haha sorry man, i didnt think of that, i'm really puzzled why that could be. i know the mail server went down for about 5 hours yesturday so maybe a message on it's way to you got caught in a loop or something. i'll keep looking into to it for you, i'm putting you back to josh ok?

even turning off the email updates didnt work...
but the thing is, they are all dated may 6th... even though its the 7th.. or well, 8th now... here is a screen shot of my email...
i just cleared them out & stuck them in another folder... oh yeah, in the pic, the one message in my inbox is another one of them... by the time i hit submit there will probably be another in there as well...

i'm really confussed with that, i'll go digging about in the code now

i think im going to try and change my email address... maybe it will end the loop and then i can change it back...

when i posted the screen shot of my email i had 85 of them... now i have 120 of them...
how would i go about changing my contact email and then changing it back?
i dont see an option for it... if only the admin can do it, then just use my regular email and put a 2 in between the "a" and the "@" that goes to me as well... then change it back and maybe it will cancel the loop...

well i just check my email and it looks like it's happning to the both of us, the reason i didnt spot it last time is because they were in the spam filter. it seems as the email you sent to me requested the name change is caught in my hosts mail server in a never ending loop, i'll get onto them and see what i can do
