So, I went sailboat racin the other day and we had a mechanical failure of a part. The lil doohickey that guides the mainsail into the slot on the mainmast was not doin its job. After the three of us standing around looking at it for about the length of time it takes to drink a beer, I decided that the way to fix the problem was to apply washers to raise the rollers to the proper height where they would not let the sail go.

This led to the three of us standing around for aprox. a beer each just looking around for washers. My first idea was to take apart the marine radio (who needs that shit?!?), but the pansies I was with would have none of that. As I reached for my next beer, the idea hit me...

It worked thru the race. We will see if the owner of the boat will leave the fix. I am tryin to talk him into letting us run up a Jolly Rodger and throwin empties at other boats when they get too close.
