Re: Time for a workshop (shed)

Baby Alexander arrived at 12:24 pm.on the 24th , weighing in at
7.9 lb !
All i've done for the last 2 days is feed , burp , and change nappies
so unfortunatly no progress has been made with my "sanctum"
i refuse to give up on this , but am aware it's going to be a
bit of a juggling act to find both free time and cash to get
the materials (LOL)

Wish me luck , i'm going to need it guys

Might want to try one of these. We use one and it works pretty good on keeping the smell down.

Re: Time for a workshop (shed)

Trimmed all the small branches off my tree today and at some
point tomorrow i will try to cut the 2 main branches back to the
main trunk , these branches are around 20" in diameter where i
need to cut them working up to around 45-50 on the main trunk.
I hope to trim this down to about 36" high so it can be used as
an external workbench on fine days !

Re: Time for a workshop (shed)

I chickened out ! got to the top of the tree , on rickety ladders
on uneven ground and i began to think "OMG i've got an 8 day
old baby in the house , a 4 year old and a wife who is recovering from a
C-section , who's going to get the beer if i get myself crippled ? "
So i dug out the footings instead !
I am miffed over the tree but i can only be honest about this
as it was very dangerous and i can still build the shed behind it
and save the world ETC with my SHED !

Tree climbing is for squirrels and other nut eaters...not something a human-type person should do....sober.

Re: Time for a workshop (shed)

Lazy day today ! all i did was visit a buddy who is a carpenter and
ask him where i could pick up cheap timber , he's on the case
and also told me to check a reclamation yard thats local to me.
Hoping to load some pictures but need to pick up a software
program from sony ericsson to put pictures on my computer
(from my phone) failing that i'll dust off my old camera and
try that instead .
