Re: Happy 2020!

As I didn't get a chance to make or modify a pick, I ordered a commercial thin shaft large HD. It seems similar to yours, but the diamond is 0.5mm higher in my case and less steep. I am experimenting now to see how I find it. So far, I like it!

Re: Happy 2020!

Don't get too worried about the pick dimensions. Everyone has his own preferences, many different picks can work fine with the same lock. Just practice and you'll be fine.

Hard to tell from the angle of the photo* but it looks like the horrible Tesa keyway that has the sides that slope together towards the top...and if so I'm guessing it's an unbranded TE5.

*Your photos are stunning btw, dunno what camera or phone you're using but it's epic.

Yes, that's an unbranded Tesa. Luckily for me it's master-keyed, otherwise I would have quit this hobby pretty quick.

Thank you! I take the pictures with my samsung galaxy s. Now I have the s9 and soon will have the s10. I started with the first one some years ago and had many of that series. All of them have always been great to take pictures.
To photograph locks this year I started using a trick: a samla box lid between the lamp and the lock to diffuse the light. Then I hold the phone still, then I touch the screen to focus on the lock. Easy!

Sure, it will...

Re: Happy 2020!

You managed though. The bitting looks serious too. You were able to pick it completely with this hd?

Nice lock :) I'm both curious and trying to get better myself, so thanks for your info every time. My skills and understanding increase bit by bit like this.
