While this looks somewhat cool. I think it's one of the worst ways to reproduce a key from a picture. You can make a key by hand much faster. And as anyone who owns a 3d printer can tell you, you will have to clean the print up before it will fit.

A while back I had a 2 video series on how to make a key from a photo where I show how to do it step by step using 2 methods. A printout and via photoshop. In each case I can reproduce a key by hand in under 10 minutes from a photo.
