Creating Templates from photo with a ruler

Matt Blaze has a lot of photos of most of the common lock picks with a ruler. I wanted to create a bunch of templates from his photos.

If I resize the image to match to the size of the horizontal ruler will that create an accurate template or does it need a vertical ruler as well.

For example

Re: Creating Templates from photo with a ruler

If you resize the image without deforming it one ruler is enough. Just constrain proportions while resizing.

Cheers :)
Pictures in my old posts are gone due to a policy change by my old hosting provider. I'm working on that.

Thank you for that input. I thought it would work but I wanted to double check.

Re: Creating Templates from photo with a ruler

Sir Picks a lot did a very good template of some Falle tools and others . The pdfs print the template's embedded rulers the correct size.

For Falle's picks
falle.pdf

All 6 templates
MultiTemp.pdf
