Re: Pdf file of random patents

Thanks.

Do you have plans to add more patents? If so what are you interested in? Everything related to this board? Any language or just English?

Re: Pdf file of random patents

No I didn't put it together. It was downloaded from a site called ezpicking... long dormant. The user lance98 did the work of putting it together.

Many countries publish patents granted to inventors in their country. There are international identification numbers that have been agreed on so its relatively easy to search every where for patents covering one topic.

https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/search.jsf is one of the search engines that can be used.

https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/pdfs/US6173595.pdf

70/394 is the US patent code for lockpicks

e05b 19/20 is the European code for lock picks

This is an example of a search for us patents
http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=0&p=1&f=S&l=50&Query=ccl%2F70%2F394%0D%0A&d=PTXT

Lockpicks is but a very small category of patents . If there is interest we can do a much deeper tutorial on categories of interest to a locksmith.

Class 70 is the category for locks....

This shows the breakdown of 70/0000 https://www.uspto.gov/web/patents/classification/uspc070/sched070.htm#C070S394000

Re: Pdf file of random patents

The patents from Kromer I have found so far. Kromer is probably the most famous of the old German lock manufacturers due to their Protector lock. Kromer as a lock company does not exist anymore, but Lebtig is still producing the Kromer locks with the same high quality.

Will send you a messaging with a link to the PDFs. Getting German and European patents is a pain compared to US patents.

An old German company which also produced a very famous lock is Bode Panzer. The key of their lock (Tangential) is quadruple bitted and looks like a mace. Unfortunately my search for any patents for their lock was without success so far.
