Uhm, that article is about evading IDS systems. Which are relevant for computer/information security, not physical security

Admittedly you could disable the alarm by eg. hacking into an e-mail server to read a mail with the current code, or hack into remote administration "features" of modern systems, or the back-end database server of an access control system. But still
