Popular Mechanics article on Lock Picking.
The September 2016 issue of Popular Mechanics magazine has an article on "Secrets of a Weekend Lock Picker". I won't post any pics or quotes so as to not violate copyright laws, but wanted to mention the article.
While it tells nothing that I would consider secret by any stretch of the imagination, and does not really instruct on how to pick aside from describing using a tension wrench and a half diamond pick, it does mention pin tumbler locks, combination locks, tubular locks and warded locks.
It is nice to see a two page article that talks of lock picking in a non-criminal manner. The author of the article states that he's been picking as a hobby for four decades, and has taught his kids to pick locks.
You won't learn anything about picking from the article, nor references on where to go to learn. But it has some reasonably decent line drawings of various lock types, and the first page of the article has a cool x-ray picture of an entire Kwikset handleset.

Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.
