Funeral song

Name the song you want at your funeral and why !
I have thought of several but have decided to go with
"It's a beautiful day" by U2
Nobody wants tears at their own passing , surely ?

Re: Funeral song

If I was dead, it really wouldn't matter. But it would probably be this song: "I Won't Back Down", by TP & The HB's.

Which is probably why I would be dead in a SWAT standoff.

For some reason, the older you get, the less shit you are willing to endure from idiots that take some kind of perverse joy in fucking with you, like snippy little bug-eyed chihuahuas high on meth, pissing on your boot.

Re: Funeral song

I dont care about music as long as it isn't church music and it isn't a christian ceremony.

Tyranny - Drown, from their Bleak Vistae album.

16:56 minutes of funeral doom.

That could really be taken wrong, Hallis.

As for the song, I think I would like for it to be a very somber ceremony, followed promptly by a very loud "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Benny Goodman. Look it up.

So others don't have to look...

Edit: I replaced the vid with one where you could actually see Gene Krupa playin. I think his coolness is what makes the song.

Re: Funeral song

I'd have the theme tune to the Benny Hill show! Let them try and feel sad with that playing.

Dennis Leary - i'm an asshole
A zealous locksmith died of late,

And did arrive at heaven gate,

He stood without and would not knock,

Because he meant to pick the lock.
