World Trade Center Medeco mortise lock

While going through a box of stuff I picked up I found this Medeco with a key stamped

D. PEHR
5 World
Trade Center

From a quick Google search it seems that this locksmith is still in business.
Just thought it was a cool find

Omg dude I'm like speech impaired at the moment. Which I'm sure any NYer is when talking about the WTC. Can't believe you have a lock from it. This was before the attack, I'm sure everyone knows but just in case.

Put it on ebay for $100,000

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...

The Locksmith (Pher) was based at the WTC, this lock could have been from any building he serviced.

Re: World Trade Center Medeco mortise lock

AFter you posted these locks I started to do my homework and actually find the locksmith and his shop that serviced all of the locks in the Twins. He turned out to be an amazing guy and all of his works are too. Had a great time talking to him and he also hooked me up with some locks for a very good price but none of them were locks used in the actual towers. Those were long gone before I even started picking however he stated that he still has the stamp used and offered to stamp up some locks for me. The worst part of this all is that my job plan/route/schedule whatever changed so I am no longer in that area and havent been there since the winter.
