Hah, it was an algorithmic pricing based seller. The price is already up to $53.

Yep they went back up. Hopefully a keypicker or two got some. They have three listings I check out about once a week. A 5" a 12" and the 25' stainless feeler gauge. So if you're interested keep checking back on those three listings on amazon and all the sudden randomly you'll see between .015-.031" go for really really cheap! I'm up to my ears in stainless stock so I decided to share my secret.

While the one you linked had gone up in price, I decided to do some browsing at other vendors on Amazon. One of them had a roll of Starrett 666 Stainless steel feeler gauge for only $8.68 SHIPPED. Starrett 666 is the preferred feeler gauge used by at least a couple of the well known custom pick makers here on the forum, so I'm glad to have been able to get the bargain. All they had at that price is .018" thickness, but I prefer thinner pick material anyway.

Thanks again - the roll came in yesterday, and the material is great for making picks.
