What is that leather case you have there? I like it.

not sure what case it is actually, i found it one day while walking around and this case is what really motivated me to get a pick set in the first place. luckily the picks fit perfectly

XD yeah they are pretty nice, but was only able to get the tok wrench to work as the bok wrench kept getting stuck in the keyway

Edit: the bottom tension wrench works with other keyways though

One of the main reasons I switched to TOK right there. The opening at the bottom of the keyway prevents you from using that wrench right. You would need a wider blade. Stick with TOK imo.

Think I might have picked it more than once w/out quite realizing it, it took way more tension to spin the plug than I was using while picking it. Less than 10 mins from pulling the picks out of the package to having it open.

My first pick. Spent about 30 minutes with it then got it about 15 minutes into it the next day (6/21/12)

It seemed a bit challenging because of the top of the keyway near the pins is slanted.

Then I ended up dropping the hook pick into my chair and it is so far un-retrieved. :-(

A tension wrench fell out of my case Saturday-ish and hid in the carpet until yesterday. It was fun the multiple times I tried to find it. Of course ... it was in the last place I looked :)

"It was in the last place I looked".

That phrase always makes me laugh. It's always in the last place you look. It would be kinda silly to keep looking after you found it. :)

Very nice Wingzjr! A spool and 4 barrels pins... challenging firt pick. Feels good eh!?

@Caveman... That's one hell of a first pick! lol

And thanks for a look at the insides. Very interesting! The way the chambers are designed
to maximize the effect of those drivers. Makes me want to dig out an old Ruko I have buried.

Not technically my first pick EVER but definitely my first pick since joining the forum. I picked this Viro twice tonight and, I have to say, it wasn't easy.

I would be really interested to know whether the security pins in the lock are :spool: or maybe even :mush: as I had a lot of trouble and found that it all came down to the front most pin that, when the other four were set, would give a great deal of counter rotation as I tried to lift it and the only way I could get it was to keep a very heavy tension and force the pin up. Lighter tensions started to release the other pins as I let the cylinder rotate back towards its resting point when setting the final front pin.

A surprisingly hard pick for what I thought was a fairly standard padlock!

Some locks are just difficult to pick. I have a damn Brinks padlock here that I keep just because it's a pain. I can pick it but it's always a pain. I've never picked or even seen a Viro padlock before so I can't tell you anything about it. Well done though, keep at it.
