Mul-T-Lock Interactive disassembly pics
This is a mortice model so just unscrewed the back and slipped the plug out. First thing i noticed was a row of holes on the right hand side of the plug, one of them containing a tiny ball bearing.
I think it must be for ani-drilling because there are also corresponding holes in the hull, but the ball doesn't fit in these.
The plug and lower pins:
Four of the lower pins have a small serration, and one is even an inverted mushroom. The second pin from the left is the one the interactive pin..err..interacts with.
All the interior lower pins on their own:
All the upper pins, 4 'shrooms and one regular:
A close up of the first and second upper pins:
And here is the spring loaded pin at the bottom of the keyway that pushes up the floating pin (or interactive pin i guess) in the key:
Another shot:
And with the key inserted:
I think this is just for key control becuase as you can see in the next two photos, the pin in the bottom of the keyway...
...and at the bottom of the plug, you can see the pins doesn't protrude into the hull at all.
And here's the upper pins holes:
Hope this helps people. I'm pretty sure the interactive pin is anti-bumping and/or key control. I cant see a way it would prevent the plug turning at all if all the pins were set to the sheer line. Just worry about those mushrooms! They give a killer false set.
