here are some cuts i would advise based on american locks i have:
44247 best for picking practice
74237
74457
27378 best for use
i personally would choose the last one....

Interesting, why would you recommend different cuts for practicing picking and practical use? I would think that the "hardest to pick" cut would be best for either practicing or everyday use. Or am I missing something?

those serrations used to halt me as well,..now they are my friend.
because the are intended to trick you into thinking you have hit the shearline,
there are usually 2 above,and 2 below the shearline,and after picking oh,i would say,
about 50,you will use the serrations as INDICATORS ,rather than a stumbling block.
after getting to false, usually two clicks,(the serrations) will bring you to the shearline.
am i making any sense?
@ any rate i though i would never get the 1100 series,but after MUCH persistance,
i can nail them consistently,providing the cut is not too radical.
i hope this helps a little.

tried everyones advice on picking the series 700 can't get false set
