What is this tool?

Hi guys,

I found this online for 35 dollars US.

It looks like a curtain pick for mortice locks, but the tension tool has an odd shape on the end that I've not seen before. I've looked on uklockpickers, and a few other sites, and cant see this exact tool, I was wondering if anyone has come across it before, if it's any good, and if that end part needs modifying before it would be useful?

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated as i want to start picking mortice locks, but most of this style of tool is very expensive. I'd have ago at making my own, but i'd like to use a manufactured one first, before i try making one to my own spec

Re: What is this tool?

It's useless. It's made for some crap chinese double bitted lock. I got one as part of a larger order to look at. The quality is terrible and it would work in no english lock I've ever seen,.
