Master Follower

I was able to get my hands on pro-lock master follower and I was curious exactly how do you use the damn thing. I know how to use a regular follower.

Re: Master Follower

Pro-lok has the followers that allow you to dump the top chambers, you just twist the follower and there is a hollow groove on the follower and when turned to this point it will dump the pins. Is this what you were talking about??

Re: Master Follower

You could use a regular follower, and a cheaper one at that, the Pro-Lok followers last time I checked were around $14.00!!! I think the idea is so that your springs and pins don't go flying out so much, that groove on the follower allows you to dump them while keeping them contained.

Re: Master Follower

Myself I would really like to get the HPC follower set, the ones that are hollow and all the other followers fit into the inside of the larger follower. They are about $30 dollars but they are nice, somewhere the other day a supplier had them on sale for $20 dollars but I have since lost where that was!!!

Re: Master Follower

I don't know for sure if these are the exact HPC followers I have been looking at but I have seen these for $35 dollars everywhere else. This right here in my opinion is all you need and for a great price. And they are convenient.

Re: Master Follower

I have heard of people using triple (A) batteries for Master Lock cylinders and I have used wooden spoon handles in a pinch!

Re: Master Follower

A pile of markers and pens cut up with a sharp knife has provided me with colorful and cheap followers of various sizes.
Of course, this was in a pinch situation....

After using the full diameter of the follower to remove the plug, use the lesser diameter to go back under the top pins to remove shorter master pins and wafers, without totally removing the drivers.
