Hard to tell it's either a K or J ?? I'm kinda leaning toward J But not sure. try here for some good keyhole views.http://www.zipflockco.com/keyblanks.html

Re: best ic core

The shape of the uppermost ward on the right of the keyway matches, and the slight upward angle of the warding on the left is looking good. Your gigantic picture is almost a perfect 1 to 1 of the shadow pdf. It also helps that it's only gently used. The only way to be positive, however, is to check it to the J and K blanks. I would say K, but J from K and L from M are two of the tougher visual ID's.

(woohoo) woohoo! groundscore!
nice find.
never seen a best drillpoint in that spot though...you think it was just amateur/sloppy drilling?
(like someone maybe bored the whole plug out instead of just drilling a new shearline?)

Re: best ic core

Probably a point for leverage to remove the old core after the control lug had been drilled.
