Some fun updates! All these pics were taken with my new Samsung Galaxy SII
The picture, audio, and video are amazing.
So much so, that I just may consider ditching my small digital camera, and using my phone for all my lock-porn excursions!!
First up, three 'love-locks' given to me by my Angel for Valentines Day. She hit my favorite pawnshop without me knowing it
A bag of locks instead of a box of chocolates for Valentines day?!?! My god... I might just have to marry this woman!!!!
Yes, I'm FINALLY seeing someone.... and yes, I still stand by my statements in previous posts....
locks
ARE less complicated than women! ...LOL... I love you Ali
middle: CORBIN. Can never have enough of em'
right: SARGENT that is seized up in every way imaginable lol. Still though... a very old, and very cool lock.
left: Hands down, my favorite of the lot... a 6-pin HURD. On the back is engraved B.I.R. A.T.U. A3679.
It gave me a wonderful battle with some surprising twists along the way. I had two 10 minute fail sessions with it.
It wasn't until I brought it to the bathroom with me, that the HURD (and a turd) fell. lol
Later that day, we went a couple towns over for icecream. Afterwards we checked out an Antique shop across the street.
I spent only $5 for these two! A wee little 4-pin ABUS No55/30.... and a giant laminated GUARD.
Haven't cleaned em' up yet, but I was able to impression a key for the Guard using an M1 blank.
Hit the pawnshop today. Originally, I was eyeing 5 locks... they wanted $10 each. Not a bad price, but I just wasn't in
the mood to drop half-a-hundred bucks. Catch me tommorrow, and I might drop 100 ...lol... but today I quibbled over 50.
Anyhow, I haggled a bit and walked out with these 4 for $35 ($8.75 each)
CORBIN ............... AMERICAN ............ SARGENT ............... HURD
And here's two of the coolest YALE padlocks I've come across yet....
Both are 6-pin locks and contain spools (
or somthing similar). The one on the left gave me run for my money!
I've picked it a handful of times now, and still could not tell you the true binding order. The first 3 pins drop you
into a huge false set. From there, it's like a game of bop-em'. Set
this... loose
that. Set
that... loose
this.
