PawnShop (warning: lots of pics)

So, got to the pawn shop today. As promised, here's some pics. Here's the 3 I left behind ($35-40/each).
Might go back for them depending on what you guys have to say. Think I was mistaken when I said Medeco.
At first glance I thought they were because all of them have Medeco keys. Maybe someone could explain?

A closer look at each (from left to right)

For $45, here's what I left with. (American was free)

Very interested in ANYTHING you might have to say about the two S&G locks.

I've never dealt with anything even remotely close to this S&G (probably jumpin' in way over my head).
Looking at the angle cuts on the key, I assume the pins may have to be rotated as well as lifted?
I'm hoping this thing kicks the livin' shit out of me for weeks! I just love that.

Dude, at $35 to $40 each, go back and buy those first three locks with the medeco keys. You can make some money reselling them on ebay even if you don't want to keep them.

Nice finds, man.

Re: PawnShop (warning: lots of pics)

Those first three locks for $35 each is a good deal man...those are S&G locks with Medeco cores...they usually go on eBay for a pretty high price man. Especially the S&G (the left one) and the HI-Shear (the right one).

Re: PawnShop (warning: lots of pics)

Cool! I thought all of these looked pretty wicked, but after what you guys have said I'll definetly purchase them all eventually. Aoyue2702, I did catch your message in the live chat and will certainly keep you in mind.

In fact, I've REALLY enjoyed following the "monstrous Mogul" around the lockpicking community. As I said, I'm completely new to Medeco or S&G. But if anyone thinks one of those locks would be worthy of going "on tour", it'd be my treat to send it out. It'd be nice to finally have an opportunity to give back! My gratitude for the forum and the people in it is emense.

Sadly, someone might steal those S&G's...they are pricey locks and built like a battleship. In fact most of them are used by the military. I've seen crustier looking locks selling for hundreds of dollars. If you can get them at that low a price - get them and hang on to them.

Great find! :hbg:

So are these sold like this from the factory, or are the Medeco cores placed in them later?

Re: PawnShop (warning: lots of pics)

Sold like that from factory, generally the Medeco cores that are with the S&G locks have restricted key way's since they are were contracted to the government.

Re: PawnShop (warning: lots of pics)

holy shit! the gold plated combi lock is worth a bunch, so are the 831b S&G'S. I would really go for the Hi Shear padlock. I've been looking forever for one. If you buy it, I will buy it from you!!!!!!!!!! No joke. PM if you want to hash out a deal!
