marcel's locks

I've been playing with the following locks for some time now, and can open them quite easilly. The only exception is the BKS, but that's a cutaway.

Today I picked up something new, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to open them

I'd love to get my hands on some locks with warding like those! Good luck man, I think you may need it!

Re: marcel's locks

Getting tools into the pfaffenhain and dom plura is almost impossible, so be careful what you wish for :) These will go on the shelf for now.

From something fairly new, we go to something fairly old.

Zeiss Ikon

The interesting bits from the inside.

Does anyone know if those ball bearings came from the factory, or if they were added by hand.

They're from the factory & are there to stop bumping. They will also interfere with the action of a pick gun.
There is a brief mention of them here http://www.keypicking.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9728&p=88616&hilit=Zeiss+ball#p88616

Re: marcel's locks

I wish I had picked the Zeiss Ikon, but I used the key to open it up.

I wanted to know why it was acting like it was, and having a look at the inside explains quite a lot. It will be picked at some point.
