Re: MacGyver101's Lock Collection (Picture-Heavy)

This has been happening more and more frequently lately: I'm browsing eBay and see someone who's decided to take one of my pictures...

and use it to make money for themselves on eBay:

(Hopefully bigrob.915 isn't a member here.) This seems to happen once every few months. I've invested a lot of time and money in photography over the years, and it really upsets me when someone thinks they can take that work for free and use it to sell things. :?

Apologies... just had to vent a bit on that.

Re: MacGyver101's Lock Collection (Picture-Heavy)

I have had this for some pictures I took for my website and then they started to appear on small company websites, I took them to task and reported them and they had to remove them and one was shut down. I now place a small ID on them (discreetly) so I can use that if used in the future.
If you report it to ebay they will remove their listings.

Am seeing this a fair bit myself. I don't mind members here using my pictures for non-profit usage, but people I don't even know... It would be nice to have someone at least ask first.

Yeah, that's unfortunate. Your frustration is certainly warranted.

There's action you can take... but the worst part is the inconvenience!
Having to take your time and effort to pursue it and follow through. :???:

p.s. You do have beautiful pictures btw. I can see why people use them. lol

Ok, ok. Sorry. Maybe that's not very funny
