Thanks to BosnianBill!

BosnianBill sent me some cool locks and a bonus item today. Thank you very much!

There is a Mul-T-Lock cylinder with keys that I am not allowed to duplicate. As if I could if I even tried. I am almost tempted to try putting it onto one of my doors.
There is a heavy Viro shutter lock with enough keys for everyone I know. I really wish I had some heavy chain and something to lock up with this beast.
There is a Best padlock and with a crazy (WG?) core. I've had my eye out for a padlock body for a while now. Right now Best locks are my personal mountain to climb.
Lastly, there is a Swiss Army wine bottle opener!

Many thanks for these awesome locks! :hbg:

Viro opened!

How cool is that? I picked the Viro open. The feedback from this lock is so clear and crisp, oh, a joy! Started off with the half-diamond pick and finished with the gem for reach. This is going to be my go to confidence boost lock.

An interesting thing I noticed was the difference in opening tension needed depending on what key is used. The lock came with 3 Viro keys and 3 Klaus keys. When using the Viro key the plug turns with almost no resistance. Turning the plug with the Klaus is like turning a key in peanut butter. The only difference I can see between the two is the Viro has a wider top edge where the key pins contact.

That's all for now, have a good day!

Re: Thanks to BosnianBill!

Very nice locks, flywheel. Have a Best with a WC keyway that I need to remember to send off to Xeo one of these days. See if he can get that blasted core out. Then I can recombinate the core and have it working. :)

Assume the reason you are not allowed to copy the MTL keys is because you don't have a card?

I suppose adding the picture would help...
Reminds of a Seinfeld episode where Elaine says something to the effect, "I couldn't get a new key because it says do not duplicate." Everyone laughs at her.

"Such a sweet kid." Actually it was George from Seinfeld who says it. Check it out.

Bosnianbill picking the Viro.
Bosnianbill picking the Mul-T-Lock. I almost believe I might be able to do this.

Look at those pins. Interlocking thin and fat pins on top and a row of 45° angled pins that come up from underneath. I originally looked in the keyway and thought, "What are all those bumps?" More pins!

Yep. It's hiding in this video. BB spends a minute talking about it.
