My tiny collection, plus its storage solution...

From left/right, top/bottom: American Lock (unknown model/year), 7/8 and 22mm Master I picked up from Safeway, luggage lock, 4-dial Master combo lock that I can't find ANY info on, Master M176, 40mm Chinese Master knockoff, and a Chateau C970 discus, which is the only one I can't get to pop. The two outter picks are a standard hook and half-diamond that I managed to find on Amazon, of all places; the middle pick is my first attempt at grinding out a hook from a nail file. Thinner than I was going for, but still pretty decent, nonetheless. My "pinning mat" is just plain ol' non-slip drawer liner.

...and all stows away in a Plano 23730-05 (deep version, less than $7 on Amazon) tackle box:

I'll be adding the Ultimate Challenge Lock Combo Kit from Learnlockpicking.com sometime this week (and reviews on their pickset, by the way?).

Comments/questions always welcomed. :)

Thanks! It took a lot of searching before I found the Plano boxes; absolutely love it, and can't bet the price. I forgot to mention my wrenches (whiper inserts) and makeshift pick case. :P It's a travel holder for a toothbrush that I plugged up with some liquid rubber.

Nice start.

Won't be too long before you need a Much bigger box. :D

Thanks. I've gotten a few compliments on it form others as well. I can't believe that I just ignored for so many years outside thinking it was covered in rust and corrosion. I guess the camo motif does work well after all!

Not too well. After all... you found it. ;)

It is quite nice. If things were not so tight, I'd make an offer to buy or trade for it.

I know you would. ;) I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon, so you never know...

My brain overflows with useless tidbits. Sometimes I can grab two to rub together and make a spark :geek:

That, and we used to stock them...

Curtis made blanks, so couldnt that be a different lock brand? Could that also be the blank id number?

Could be, I have no idea at all. The top of the lock has a "CCL" logo, if that helps. But as far as the key, the possible code matches the "bitting" of it.
