Chinese lock

Chinese lock

Got this given to me today, apparently it has an alarm in it . Still trying to pick my Squire SAL/40 and now this....Any advice! The lock is about 2.5 inches across.

Cool lookin' lock! I'd say make a dual pronged tension wrench and tension it on both sides so that the pressure is evenly distributed. Looks like there's only pins down the middle so tensioning shouldn't interfere with picking at all. Then use :longhook: , :half ball: , or one of those picks that look like it's a square at the end. Just turn the pick on it's side and twist to lift the pins. Depending on if you have enough space, you might be able to just use a short hook and pick it in a normal fashion.

You may be able to shim it, as I did with a smiley keyway lock.
