Last week i bought a box of random locks, most still in the package never being used, the key boxes had no code but I've gotten them all open except the larger keypad one. Looking forward to working on the Americans, The others i will probably just get rid of.



And here is my newest lock, havent tried to pick it or anything but yea.

Like the Medeco LFIC. Is that the control key? Being a classic Medeco, you may be able to get a control key cut for the lock. The only difference between the control (core removal) key and change (user or operater) key is the center two cuts. And on those two center cuts, the rotation will still be the same on either key.

Looks like a newer Masterlock key safe.
I haven't had a chance to work with one yet but have ran across them on newer houses I've worked on, luckily I have had the codes.
Please post your method of opening when able. Or if I happen to run into another one and have the time I'll give it a try.

Shimming the latch, getting feedback from buttons while pushing down on the open button, maybe brute forcing the combo.

Do you know how many digits the combo is or can be?

I've messed with it a bit but plan on really getting to know it later. The combo can be 12 digits, using each button once, but idk how many it is currently set to. Hope to open it by tonight.

Great stuff! Once you get those American padlocks picked (puck lock and 700 series) I'd be happy to make keys for you.

Well I havent spent a few days messing with the large keysafe and... It's open!!! after several hours of messing with it i managed to be able to notice a difference in the way certain buttons reacted, finally got the combo. Only actually 3 digits, sure it would have taken longer if set to something else.

Sounds like you got feedback from the buttons. How?
The ones in the combo, Were they harder to push down?
Maybe easier? Sound different? Springy v.s. Spongy.
Did you push them down while pushing down on the open button?

Does your three digit combo have to be entered in the correct order? i.e. (123) has to be 123. or can it be entered as 321, 231, 213?

Can the combo have repeating numbers? (1223 )

So far it Sounds like the only changes in the new design are Cosmetics.

The combo can be entered in any order and each number entered once. If you enter a number more then once it will open. For example 4332 and 432 would both open the case. The combo numbers seemed a bit more soft than the others Perhaps from repeated use? There were some different sounds as well but I wasn't really able to distinguish one from any other. When you press on the open or clear button it prevents the other buttons from being pressed at all. I'm going to disassemble the lock and have a look at the internals. Maybe get an idea of what's happening inside.

Sure there is a cure. Just one more lock will do it. Then just one more. Maybe that one, too. I've always wanted one of those since I learned about it, and the price is good - better get it now. Oh drat! OK, AB is right - no cure.
