Using a large cotter pin for a key is the kind of imaginative thinking I admire from the Locksport group. Perfect D that probably would work on an Abloy Classic.

Re: PhoneMan's lock vids

I actually can't take credit for that one, as I saw a railroad employee with the same setup and just followed suit. I have used a half round piece of aluminum on an Abloy clone and made it work. Just need to think "what can be used in place of the key for the same function"

Re: PhoneMan's lock vids

Cool Phoneman, I really like the vids! :)

BTW I think I have the exact same Chinese locks.:) Though they are all pretty much the same in that category.

I had fun picking that S&G lock then making a key for it. :-)

Re: PhoneMan's lock vids

Thanks for watching! ARF-GEF, The Chinese locks seem to be pretty common, with mainly the names varying, but overall not a horrible lock. And Gordon, I'm glad you liked the S&G, I now have the official "105" key for my other Enviro. Oldfast, I'm glad you like the vids, and yes the $10 Simplex was a nice treat, and I now have a chrome one too with a standard knob! (just as easy to pick!)
A very interesting and rewarding hobby for sure!

Re: PhoneMan's lock vids

Mine aren't plastic, I don't believe, but they sure aren't Abloys! It would still stop amateur thieves to some extent.
